The Onyx Downtown presents Memories of Murder

In anticipation of Bong Joon-ho’s newest film Mickey 17, which debuts later this year, we are excited to celebrate some of the director’s most notable works: Based on the real-life case of South Korea’s first confirmed serial murders, the 2nd film in our series, MEMORIES OF MURDER, is considered one of the greatest crime thrillers ever made. Set against the backdrop of political unrest in 1980s South Korea, the film follows two detectives, one a local policeman and the other an investigator from Seoul, as they race against time to stop an elusive and intelligent serial killer terrorizing a rural town.
