The Nevada Theatre is operated by the Nevada Theatre Commission. The Commission is made up of volunteers dedicated to preserving and improving our Theatre. The Nevada Theatre Commission is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

To preserve and develop the historic Nevada Theatre and its other historic properties in order to provide the community with an accessible, usable, and valuable cultural asset.
The Nevada Theatre is owned and maintained by the Commission which is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Many upgrades have been made over the years to maintain a wide range of events we can accommodate, and this is organized by the Commission. The Commission does not choose the productions or events that happen at the Nevada Theatre.
We are very proud to be one of the chosen locations for groups such as The Onyx Downtown, The Nevada City Film Festival, Wild & Scenic Film Festival, Community Asian Theatre of the Sierras (CATS), LeGacy Presents, Paul Emery Music, Sierra Stages, The UpStart Theatre Company, Music in the Mountains, and more!
