NC Democrats and Onyx Downtown present Erin Brockovich

The Onyx Downtown is excited to partner with Nevada County Democratic Central Committee (NCDCC) to screen the unforgettable Julia Roberts film Erin Brockovich (2000). A twice-divorced mother of three who sees an injustice, takes on the bad guy and wins. Brockovich goes to work for an attorney and comes across medical records describing illnesses clustered in one California town. She starts investigating and soon exposes a monumental PG&E cover-up.
This powerful story of determination and justice reflects the goals and initiatives of the DCC, which educates the public on Democratic values and positions on current issues, raises funds to support their ongoing organization and candidates, and recruits, trains, and deploys volunteers.
