Indivisible Nevada County and The Onyx present Ask E. Jean
September 8th @ 7:00pm
ASK E. JEAN tells the remarkable story of E. Jean Carroll, from her early days as Miss Cheerleader USA to her rise as a trailblazing journalist, author, and beloved advice columnist. Carroll broke barriers as an editor at Esquire, Playboy, and Outside, helping redefine women’s roles in media with her sharp wit and fearless voice. In recent years, she became the center of a national conversation about truth, accountability, and resilience after taking Donald Trump to court and prevailing in two civil cases. The film is a portrait of an indomitable woman who proves that it is never too late to reclaim your voice, rewrite your story, and make an impact.
The screening is a fundraiser for Community Beyond Violence, a local nonprofit that works to heal the trauma of sexual assault and domestic violence by providing crisis intervention, safety, advocacy, and education to survivors and our community. Community Beyond Violence will host a discussion following the film.
Indivisible Nevada County works to protect democracy through local education and political engagement.
