The Onyx Downtown and Nevada County for Palestine present From Ground Zero

COMING TO THE NEVADA THEATRE FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY: TUESDAY 3/18. STORIES FROM GAZA – Special Screening & Fundraiser Join us for a special screening of STORIES FROM GAZA, a powerful collection of short films created by 22 Palestinian filmmakers living through war. These films, blending animation, documentary, and fiction, capture daily life in Gaza following October 7, 2023, offering a deeply personal perspective beyond the headlines. More than a record of devastation, this film is a testament to the resilience of the resilience of the Palestinian people and the power of art to endure even in the face of atrocity.

This screening is co-presented with Nevada County for Palestine, a multigenerational coalition advocating for a free Palestine and an end to occupation. The group focuses on political education, support for Palestinian resistance, and community-building & liberation on Nisenan land.

Following the film, we will host a panel discussion featuring:
Khaled Shehadeh – Palestinian business owner, Linda, CA
Jeffery Gottesman – Jewish Voice for Peace, NC4Palestine, and the Peace & Justice Center of Nevada County
Sarah Al Zanoon – Palestinian American writer and poet, Sacramento

Tickets are $13, and the net proceeds will be donated to Eleelna Elak (eleelnaelak.org), an organization that provides direct aid to families in Gaza.
