However, when we look deeper into the Brother’s Grimm fairy tale; Rumpelstilzchen, we find a very misunderstood and sympathetic character.\nWhy is he forever cast as a villain when the real evil lurking between the pages is a ruthless King consumed by greed?\nIn Rumpelstilzchen’s Fairy Gold, Rumpel finally gets to be the hero and tell his side of the story.\nWith the help of two wise cracking bookworms, a mysterious witch in the woods and a larger-than-life operatic singing book, Rumpelstilzchen sets off on a quest to become a story spinner, save the world and answer the question:\n“If stories come from the world of imagination, what would happen if there weren’t any stories left?”\nRumpelstilzchen’s Fairy Gold, produced by Swazzle and Heady Lore productions is a musical play written by Dalrymple MacAlpin. It features 11 original songs performed live with piano, harp and vocals by MacAlpin, cello by orchestral soloist Jiamo Chen and saxophone/vibraphone by Jesse Krautkramer.
